Would someone mind pinging my IP 68.81.237.242

Seems my internet connection is acting VERY wirey. All of the sudden I lost all internet connection. I can only go to HS and cocoon forums. This is true on all my boxes. Maybe something wierd going on with comcast.

Seems VERY wierd that I can get to this site though and post.

Anyways. Don't know what a ping to my modem would do, but just very curious. Man....I can't even call comcast as I use vonage and have killed my landlines over a year ago.

Is your firewall blocking pings?

If you can only get to sites you frequent a lot, it could be a DNS issue. Can you ping i.e. 24.92.226.12 ?

I had a similar weird problem and my stupid internet provider (cox cable modem) switched to a new DNS server and had everything screwed up.

Gotta look if I'm blocking pings.
I was able to ping 68.81.237.242 perfectly.
I also frequent skibumsplace, xlobby, etc.... but can't get to those either. I even tried some out of the blue sites with no luck. Just HS and Cocoon.

Wait a minute ..... Me thinks this is a HS/Cocoon bug to only allow us to those sites till we conform with some kind of HA ritual!

E - 24.92.226.12 , is this Cocoon's IP?

If so I can not access via http://24.92.226.12 . But a command line ping works fine for it.

hehe reboot yer modem... see if you grab a different IP address.

Personally I think that "E" has done something with a cookie from this site that is preventing you from surfing eslewhere. I've heard he is working on a plug-in that monitors my posts for inflammatory remarks.

hmmm. seeing E's and BSR's avatars fine, but not mine or ski's. Guess that's cause yours are stored on cocoontech.com. Which would make sense I guess.

the IP I posted is a Time Warner DNS server, so it won't respond to HTTP requests
