Can you ping wireless sensors?

On my Elk M1 last night my speaker stopped working.  I turned the power off on the panel and that worked but all my wireless sensors were violated.  At 1am I had to go outside and open every door just so I could set my alarm.  Is there a way to make the panel ping the sensors to get there current status instead of waiting for the sensor to do it?

Not that I know of.  I suspect that, to conserve battery power, the sensors are only listening for a signal from the panel immediately after they transmit an alarm condition.  That leaves no way for the panel to wake them up to collect status.

I thought so.  I should have known better when I reset it.
