ControLinc loses settings on power loss

Is the ControLinc supposed to save settings when it loses power? I don't see a place to install a battery, but I could have missed it.

The INSTEON ControLinc stores the link data to a type of memory that will retain the info without power.

as far as what is on or off, it does not keep track of that.

hmmm... if I unplug my ControLinc for even a few seconds, I lose link data. Other than that, it seems to be working fine.

Sounds like you have a bad unit. I'd RMA it.

Sounds bad as mine retains everything if power is lost or unplugged.
The bright button isn't stuck is it? If memory [fuzzy with out looking] serves me. Holding the bright button when applying the line power does a factory reset.
