ELK-6051 carbon monoxide (CO) detector question

Thinking about buying a few of these. I read the manual on them, but there was one thing I could not find in it...

The detector reacts to four different levels of CO presence, e.g., more "flashes per second" as CO level increases, sounder sounds sooner as level increases, etc.). This is all at the individual detector. When/what is transmitted to the M1G? Is the zone for a detector only tripped if/when the sounder sounds? Is the M1G not notified when a detector's red LED starts flashing?

I don't have your answer on that sensor, but note that a CO sensor is there to just warn the people in the house, so local notification is most important. As for notification is concerned, likely the lowest level triggers it. That is so if you have pets in the home when you are away, the alarm company can notify you and you can correct the problem. A CO alarm doesn't usually prompt a fire department response, maybe only if your alarm company can't get a hold of you.
