Elk Zone Definition to use for HA motions

Finally getting to set up my motions. What zone definition do I need to use if I want to use the zone for HA purposes when the Elk is not armed. I'm thinking Aux1 but not sure how that will work when armed. Also, should a motion be NO or NC?

Doesn't matter which one you use for a zonedef as the zone will show violated/normal regardless of that. Read the manual on your motion detector, but my Bosch's and ADT ones are NC.

Use the same zone definition you are using for your motion security. Set your rules to use the motion when it becomes not secure. I like the four state zone for motions (see ELK installation manual).

I assume there is an occupancy detection style zone? I had kinda planned on using PIR for occupancy and dual techs for security. I would not want a PIR being able to trigger an alarm.

There is a non alarm zone that can be used with rules for occupancy detection.
