It doesn't have to be this complicated. You can simply add an X10 command to the subject line of an incoming email and then setup an event to trigger on email received and put in the from address. Then when HS parses the subject and see a valid X10 command it executes it. I use outlook express as my email client and have HS check this for new mail every 5 minutes.
