Extending the solarsensor

Hi,
Some time ago I bought the solar-temp/moist board.
I jus discoverd that the radiationshed (where the sensors live) does only get sun at 11hour.
Is it possible to extend the solarsensor allone by twistedpair wire to a more sunny place?

Some people have tried with mixed results. It won't hurt anything to try though but I wouldn't extend it more than a few feet.
