HAI 42A00-2 Transmitter Enrollment Problem

Hi All,

I have an Omnipro II with two way voice and wireless (42A00-2). I have two problems that I hope somebody can help.

1. I'm not able to get the TX-6010-01-1 GE Smokes or the 60-703-95 GE (ITI) Motions to enroll on the 42A00-2. I set the 42A00-2 into installer setup mode by pressing the Mode/Advanced button for 2 seconds until it shows "A1". Press again for "n1" which I believe is correct because I'm only using one 42A00-2. Then press again where is shows "1". I trip the transmitter/sensor per the instructions and the green status light on the 42A00-2 blinks rapidly as if it is receiving data but there is no change to the Mode or Type LEDs.

2. The sound coming from the speakers on my 33A00-4 consoles (there are two) is so faint that is is barely audible. I have the volume on the 10A11-1 turned all the way up but it doesn't make much difference. I did notice that the contractor used the existing CAT5e that was present from the old ELK KP2s for the speaker and microphone wire. Do I need to run 14 ga speaker wire to the consoles for the speakers? Is the existing CAT5e sufficient for the microphones?

Lastly, I have my old ELK-110 Voice Siren from my old system (fried by lightening) which I was going to incorporate into the new system. Any comments?

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
