Time for part 2 of this mega poll :D

Which hardware controller do you primarily rely on?

Please keep in mind that you should only vote for one of the hardware controllers, if you programmed it to automatically do some tasks. If you are using your controller as a simple I/O interface with a PC, then it would fall under 'PC based solution'.

If you use a combination of a PC and/or several hardware controllers, then vote for the hardware controller which does the most automated tasks.

I also didn't add an option "None of the above", so people can post their controller in this thread. I will add their choice to the list, then you will be able to vote for it (instead of wasting the vote on 'none').

Is this poll rigged? I voted for Stargate earlier and now my vote is gone and the system says I already voted so I can't put it back... Does this system onlu accept votes for Elk?

The Elk guys were on top of things.

Sorry, I had to redo the poll after a few votes due to some technical issues (I tried adding more entries, and it didn't go well), so please vote again if you voted earlier.

No error. It just says I already voted. Don't worry about it.. I probably just hit the wrong thing and voted for Enerlogic 1400 by mistake.

Ok, I can't change the vote, but I think I was able to reset your 'already voted' flag, so try again.

I'm primarily using the new Intermatic Z-Wave USB stick (HA22).
Also using wireless Z-Wave remotes to run timed events.

Ken

My primary right now is the ACT TI103 controller. Second wound be the HS USB Z-Wave controller.

The Pod

I'm surprised at how many are using the Elk M1 as their primary controller. I'm guessing that the main reason is because of its support for all the new device automation protocols, one of the very few hardware controllers to do that.

I'm an Ocelot user myself (as most people already know).

Guy,
Talked with our Australian partners, Ness Security, and they are starting to market the Ocelot with the M1 for IR control. They say it is working very good.

So, if I use a CM11A driven by software on my PC, which one would be the primary for the purposes of this poll?

I use PC Based Power-Home and a Smarthome USB PLC so I voted Pc-Based -- I can't imagine many of the Smarthome or X10 based answers not actually being part of the PC-Based vote so it looks neck and neck when you add those together between Pc-Based and Elk.
