How to mount sensors for best results

When mounting sensors for temperature, solar and wind where do you place them for the most accurate results? I'm drawn to the roof of course but it seems like in summer it is going to read very high temperatures.

How about solar? Do you just have to aim it up?

How about wind? Just on the highest part of my chimney or do I find the most open spot?

For humidity and temperature you would want to put them in a shady place out of direct sunshine.

For the solar it needs to be pointing up in direct sunshine.

For wind you need to mount it as high up as you can but also away from trees. If you mount it to your chimney you want to make sure that it is at least 3ft above the roof line to minimize turbulance from the roof. If you end up with a choice between high or open I would go for the more open location.
