Legrand (India), a subsidiary of Legrand Group announced a new range of safety, security and home automation products for the building industry. The products launched includes a complete range G5 Emergency lighting units and exit signs that are claimed to be maintenance free, have longer shelf life and can withstand high temperature in fires or explosions.
G5 Emergency lighting is equipped with rechargeable Ni-CD batteries with back-up time of 1-3 hour. It is made externally with self-extinguishing ABS plastic and its lens is composed of unbreakable and fire-resistant polycarbonate. The product is mainly aimed for hospitals, hotels, shopping complex, commercial and residential buildings.
The other products of this present launch include switches based on Movement detection concept, tamper proof wireless intruder alarm system and audio-video door phones.
The Movement detection switches are targeted for residences, offices, hotels, and hospitals where lights are switched on and off according to the movement of the people. It can detect human movement up to 16 meters with 90, 180 or 270 (superscript:0) of detection angle. The detectors can be adjusted from 12 sec to 16 min and has a day light compensation adjustment from 10 to 4000 lux.
