I'll be releasing the beta/demo version of my Light Show Master software before midnight CST tonight. I will be posting the download link to my site at http://www.JLTSoft.com

Light Show Master is a software product that allows you to create animated lighting displays synchronized to music using Insteon to control flood lights, christmas lights, rope lights, or whatever! LSM features a visual sequence editor that makes creating new lighting sequences easy. Command your lights to turn on/off or fade up/down using one of the 7 different fade speeds. Create multiple sequences and have LSM run them together in any order to create a complete lighting show. Impress your neighbors with your holiday display! You can adjust the playback schedule to choose which days of the week it runs, and you can specify the start and stop times for each day of the week.

Requirements:
  • WinXP, WinXP-ME, or Windows 2000
  • 512 mb of ram
  • Windows MediaPlayer v7 or later
  • PowerLinc Controller V2 (USB or Serial) (http://www.smarthome.com/2414u.html)
  • 1 or more Insteon-enabled devices
  • 1 Ghz or faster PC

Don't forget z-wave. There is a really nice .net SDK by ControlThink. The software looks pretty nice but I don't own any insteon stuff. Perhaps I will win the insteon giveaway.

Oh Darn, Thats UPB stuff! Oops!

I guess I won't be able to play with this software after all.

The final decision hasn't been made yet, but it will probably be between $69 and $79.

SDM = SmartDevice Manager. This is an ActiveX COM library produced by Smarthome that allows my software to communicate with the PowerLinc controllers for controlling Insteon devices. There's no charge for the SDM... actually it's supposed to get installed when you install LSM, but that part of the installer doesn't seem to be working. SDM can be installed separately, though.

I would like to see a video of someone doing this? I really don't see how it would be fast enough. But I do see you have a calibration wizard.

This is why I'm going hardware controlled system.
