TORONTO, Ontario, Canada -- February 17, 2005 -- Point Clark Networks Limited (PCNL), a leading provider of Linux-based appliance and server solutions, announced an OEM agreement with Digital Glu. Point Clark Networks' solution was selected as the base platform for Digital Glu's Glaucus multimedia and home automation appliance.

The Glaucus appliance serves many different purposes:
  • Home automation including climate control, lighting control, and security
  • Multimedia and data storage
  • Internet gateway and firewall
  • Data services including content filtering, personal web server and photo gallery
The agreement also includes Point Clark Networks' Device Manager and Device Web Services network infrastructure. This infrastructure allows Digital Glu to deploy edge-device services including entertainment distribution, content filter updates, system monitoring, dynamic DNS, and more.
