Low power battery powered device that can be turned on an off via a phone app?

Have an application that I would like a phone app (or other remote) that can open and close a contact. Wondering if there are any battery powered ones. Might be difficult to run the radio without draining the battery.

I'm not aware of a battery powered relay with a phone app. As you suggest, battery life could be a problem. However, you might be able to create your own with a Shelly device such as this one. This one operates on 5-24 volts, so powering with a series of AA batteries (or a 9v) might keep it going for a while. It is controllable by wifi and bluetooth, and there is a Shelly phone app.

That Shelly device is an input, not an output/relay module if I'm reading the specifications correctly.

I did find some with a quick Google search (have no idea how they perform). They accept a wide range of DC input power so you could operate them off of a battery.
