At the International Consumer Electronics Show in January, NextAlarm? announced the formation of VoIPAlarm.com, its wholesale division, which is a value-added reseller (VAR) program.
With this joint alliance, Vontronix will use the NextAlarm - developed ABN? (Alarm Broadband Network) adapter that handles both alarm signals and the Vontronix VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service for alarm dealers. As a result, alarm dealers will be able to sell and install a single device that gives their customers both Vontronix VoIP service and ABN?, the industry’s first low-cost broadband solution for security system monitoring. There’s no longer a need for the customer to keep a standard phone line for their alarm system. The customer will be able to switch entirely to Vontronix VoIP service, using the VoIPAlarm adapter to provide both telephone service and alarm monitoring.
Alarm dealers will also be able to offer their customers VoIPAlarm’s features like
E-Notify?, which allows customers to manage their system over NextAlarm’s secure web server; and V-Notify?, an automated interactive voice response (IVR) system, which notifies customers of any alarm signals at their home or business at the phone number of their choice.
“We’re very pleased to join Vontronix in this alliance,” said Alex Elliot, VoIPAlarm’s founder and CEO. “With this alliance, alarm dealers will have their own branded versions of our website for their customers to use.”
