To install low voltage instead 120V smokes here in WA state requires "UL268 compliant smoke detectors as part of a monitored fire alarm system designed according to the provisions of NFPA 72".
My plan was to use a dedicated and battery backed up Altronix power supply to supply smoke alarm power, 4-wire System Sensor COSMOSmoke/CO alarms with EOL relay, and interface to an M1 via the System Sensor COSMO-4W interface panel, and a monitoring service.
The Elk M1 and System Sensor products are all UL268 so it seems OK there.
Other than proper wiring with red fire wire of adequate gauge and detector placement are there any other areas of pitfalls in NFPA 72?.
NFPA wants $170 for a copy of their spec which is money I'd rather not spend.
