OP2 troubleshooting and possible replacement

I'm sure this is an FAQ, but I have a failing OP2 (I think) and could use some advice from experienced users.

From a troubleshooting perspective... everything was working fine for many years. Then I was away for a few weeks and when I returned my OmniTouch panel was behaving strangely. I could push buttons and it would respond but it didn't seem like it was actually controlling the OP2 panel. This problem actually caused the burglar alarm to trigger, but I was able to shut it off using Snaplink. I power cycled the OT and it's been stuck on Reconnecting... ever since. I can long press and get to the settings page, but nothing there is incorrect.

At that time, Snaplink and PC Access worked fine over the network. Since then (about a month later) both of those have stopped working. Outside of networ features, everything else seems to continue working normally when I use the old original keypad or the smaller (non-network) Omnitouch.

Besides rebooting the panel and the OT, which I've done, are there any other troubleshooting steps? I checked the board and don't see any obviously damaged components or loose solder joints. I haven't tried a ping test, but can do that later tonight. Is it recommended or even possible to get the board repaired at this point?

Assuming I hit a dead end with the above troubleshooting, I'm probably overdue for a replacement. I know a lot of others have been here before. I don't need to get into specific brands or models at this point, but I want to check on any issues I may hit with device/component compatibility. I'm using a lot of connectivity and functionality of the OP2 and am concerned about other HA items I may obsolete when I move away from the platform. Specifically, these are the things I use today that I would need to replicate either by controlling my existing gear directly or by replacing it by something that can be controlled by the new platform:
- X10 dimmers (Leviton green)
- Omnistats
- Wired and wireless security sensors
- Russound audio system (RS232)
- Somfy URTSII (RS232)
- Snaplink

With that being said, I know that ELK Gold is the most "drop in" replacement for an OP2, but can it control all of those antiquated systems? I know that it's quite old itself now and would prefer to go with a more current system like E27, but understand that will bring bigger integration challenges and likely require more equipment to be replaced.

Obviously, HA tech was much different when I installed my OP2 than it is today. I'm wondering if I would be better off not try to find the closest drop-in OP2 replacement and instead move to a more traditional security panel and a separate stand-alone automation controller (maybe a UD eisy). As long as I can set up the security panel to send events to the HA controller, I think I'd be able to replicate all the functionality that I have in the OP2 today.

Any thoughts or opinions from anyone who has crossed this bridge before?
