PC Magazine: ReplayTV vs Tivo

Bill Howard @ PC Magazine posted a rather interesting comparison between the ReplayTV and Tivo. The only disappointing (and incorrect in my opinion) statement in this article is his 'opinion' about MS Windows MCE's video quality not being as great as a standalone dvr unit (someone tell him that the TIVO is just a computer too), otherwise, not a bad article.

but i wish they would have talked about all the mods you can do to the TIVo 1 in comparison to replay

You are more than welcome to create a post which contains all the good links to the TIVO modification tutorials & community, if it contains a lot of info, I will even make it part of a sticky I am planning to put up (the post was going to contain links to communities dedicated to the common dvr platforms).
