I recently upgraded to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus from a antiquated panel.  The Qolsys panel is really responsive compared to my old panel.  Video streaming is really good on the Qolsys.  It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon SBC and Android 5 SE.  Thus, it does have a lot of computing horsepower.
 
The touchscreen user interface is really clean and modern.
 
One feature that I really like is the Skybell doorbell camera.  It allows me to view and talk to the person at the front door using my cell phone.  
 
 
I've also added Alarm.com, a cloud based services provider  to the mix in order to do remote control, home automation, monitoring etc.  The Alarm.com rules engine is fairly advanced but is flexible and easy to use.  I'm afraid I might get carried away with creating rules.
 
Overall, I'm satisfied with this new system.

Hi Bob,  I have just purchased a Qolsys Panel 2+, I'm still investigating which monitoring company to go with.  You mention having video, I was under the impression that the PowerG card eliminated the Alarm.com image/video/viewing.  Could you tell me how you are getting the video?
 
Hopefully, you will be around if I have some questions.  Which monitoring/dealer did you go with?

I believe you're confusing the Image Sensor (a motion detector that can send images when motion is detected) with actual Alarm.com video surveillance which utilizes Alarm.com IP cameras and does allow for live viewing remotely and from the IQ Panel 2.

I have a Skybell doorbell camera at the front door and a Alarm.com camera ADC-V722W at my rear patio door.  Both cameras can stream video to the Qolsys panel. 
 
The Skybell camera uses motion detection to alert me if anyone is at the front door.  A notification is sent to my phone and I can view  and communicate with anyone at the front door.  
 
The rear patio door outdoor camera as indicated before has streaming capability but it only records video when an event occurs such as the burglar alarm is tripped.  The camera can be set up to record video on motion detection but I disabled that feature since the camera motion detector was tripped by falling leaves, animals etc.  Thus, I had too many false recordings.
 
I'm not sure what Power G has to do with video.  My understanding was the Power G was only a wireless sensor feature.   That is, 900 MHZ sensors that use 128 bit AES encryption.  These Power G sensors also have a high transmission range of  1.24 miles line of sight.
 

Which monitoring/dealer did you go with?

I chose Alarm.com used in conjunction with a local security company.

There's a hardware limitation that prevents an IQ Panel 2+ from supporting the PowerG card, which allows for integration with DSC PowerG sensors, and the Image Sensor card, which allows integration to Alarm.com image sensors.

Looking to purchase this to replace an XFinity set up which is around $60 per month with a few sensors and no automation.
 
Wondering what the monthly cost is for this set up with alarm dot com.
