I don't have an Elk, but whatever a normal zone is named that the glass break itself is.It may on the sensor but it doesn't on the M1. It just lists it as violated. I'm thinking maybe I have the zone set up wrong. what kind of supervision, etc should it be?
If I remove them from a zone and place them in another zone, they work find until I open the cover and violate the zone. The zone never returns from that state. If I place them back in the original zone, it remembers the "violated" status.
The motion works fine. It returns to normal after it's violated. The Glass Breaks just don't seem to work...

If both were confirgured the same and the motion is good then I would guess it is something to do with the glassbreak.
If you open the cover and trip the tamper the GB sends a tamper/trouble. It will stay that way until a restoral is sent. It sounds like the restoral is not being sent (or recognized). Try holding the tamper switch closed with your finger and see if the zone clears. If it does there is probably a mechanical issue.
Is this a wireless device? The motion works fine. It returns to normal after it's violated. The Glass Breaks just don't seem to work...
