Samsung A52 dropped in water and now won't turn on

If the down volume and power button are held for 10 s (reset) it vibrates so it isn't totally dead but no signs of life on the display. Wife maybe got too eager and after drying overnight plugged it to USB charger and it gave a double beep which is apparently warning of water in the connector so she did the reset which stopped the beeps but now it doesn't turn back on. Unless I can figure a way to get files off it it's probably going to a phone repair place. Need to figure out who is good because there are a lot of places that do it. Any suggestions?

Give it a couple of more days maybe. If it boots up but you do not see the screen you may be able to transfer files via USB cable.

Just recently installed a new battery in my TCL phone. It was pretty air tight where as I had to cut the seal.

Hmmm Was the water more than 1 meter deep or was submerged for longer than 30 minutes? It is rated for that. The standard solution is to submerge in a pile of raw rice for a few days but desiccant should work as well. If the water wasn't pure water I would wash it with clean water first. Its only worth about $160 now so may it may cost more to fix it than its worth.

Doesn't Android have some type of auto backups like on iPhones?

Thanks Pete! I called a couple places before I saw your post. Several said they couldn't fix it. Ended up going to CPR cell phone repair. They had to order a new display but got it going enough on the bench to transfer things. We were due for new phones anyway. Had some other things keeping me busy so haven't been there yet. Going tomorrow to get everything transferred off it.

Ano, Yes android has similar back up options but it wasn't set up to do everything. Making sure to do better at that going forward.
