SBC is launching a new set top box which will offer PC like features; it will combine a satellite TV receiver, DVR, video-on-demand delivery system, music jukebox, Caller ID display, and photoviewer, while being connected to your PC, without having to know a lot about computers. I hope they will do a better job than some of the other set top box manufactures, considering how problematic the launch has been of just a set top box/DVR combo.
You will also be able to schedule recordings through the SBC Yahoo DSL page, and in the near future you will be able to access the box using your Cingular cellphone. It will also support streaming music from the box to wherever you are.
