Just came across this
Sky Navigator Remote / Keyboard

Just thought it looked cool, but I can think of one major design flaw! Since its IR, and the port is on the front end, using the keyboard maybe a little tricky.

Just put a mirror on the end table next to the couch, on a 45 degree angle
(NOTE: If the arms on your couch are high, it might require you to remove it for a good line of sight to the mirror)

Not saying this design is any better, but at least the IR port faces forwards

That last one is really cool, would be perfect in a car PC environment, assuming it acts as a regular keyboard/mouse.
