Toshiba e740 reads a 2GB SD card as 1gb?

My Toshiba e740 reads a 2GB SD card as 1GB only. Is this device limitation? What can I do to make it reads 2GB?

I believe, if my memory serves me correctly, that this is a device limitation with the e740. Keep in mind there were no 2 GB cards when the e740 was released.

I also have an e740 and had the same problem with the SD card. I can put my 2 gig Compact Flash card from my camera in it, and it shows up as 2 gigs.

I would immagine the same limitation is on the SD card. What one did you try so we can possibly confirm that?
