Using XTB-II to Phase Couple Insteon

I was wondering if the frequency window on the upcoming XTB-II will be wide enough to phase couple Insteon signals as well as X-10. I know that is not its purpose but Insteon will cross over on UPB couplers so I was wondering if the same would be true for the XTB-II?

Interesting thought. Yes, that probably will work. The two series-tuned LC networks would be in series across both phases. And there is a 120KHz tank network in the middle. That is not a high-Q circuit, so it should still work fine at 135KHz.

why would you need to phase couple Insteon like this? Isn't that the point of the (only) existing RF devices is that it phase-couples over RF?

Yes but if I have a hard wired coupler in place for something else and it handles Insteon as well then I don't need to set up the RFLincs. I wasn't suggesting using an XTB-II to couple Insteon exclusively.
