We're looking at doing a Google Hangout to discuss using Voice Commands to control your Automation S

While this will be most helpful to CQC users, the topic of our next CQC webinar is likely to interest many in the CT community.  There have been lots of interest and videos on Youtube showing people controlling their house through the use of some Android apps and their home automation system.  This is what we are going to talk about during our next event.  I hope to walk through the entire process to set it up on my system from scratch.  So this won't be a "look at what my system can do" type webinar, but rather an actual "this is how you do it" type webinar.  Of course if you don't use CQC, some of it won't pertain to you, but certainly the Android side of things would pertain irregardless of what automation system you use.

I have two possible times in mind for this event 
1)  Saturday August 24st at 12 noon EDT (9am PDT).
2)  Tuesday August 27th at 10pm EDT (7pm PDT).  
 
If you are interested in joining us on the hangout, please post which time works best for you.

We plan on hosting these types of webinars every month or so.  While they will likely have a CQC flair to them, we don't expect to only talk about CQC.  If there are other automation topics that you would like to see covered or participate in, please let me know as well.  There is a lot of topics we could cover like using an ELK/HAI system alongside an automation system, all the different sub systems like lighting, A/V distribution, CCTV, sprinkler control, etc, etc, etc., digital phone systems like Asterisk/FreePBX, new technology like Chromecast, etc, etc, etc.
 
We would love to have people participate in these events, so let us know what you might want to see!

This a topic that is definitely getting a lot of interest.  With several apps recently released to make this even easier, I think it's a great idea to do something like this.

You may have to join the CQC Google+ community to RSVP.  On-air hangouts integrate poorly with Google+ events.  At this time, I basically have to create the actual onair hangout just prior to the event and reinvite everyone that has responded that they want to attend.  There is no direct integration from the on-line event listing unfortunately.  
 
I'll also post the Youtube link on the CQC event once we are live and recording.  You can use that link to view the live hangout, but you will not appear as a participant and will not be able to interact with us.
