Do any of you guys know how to tell what ports are in use on a PC and what is using them? I've tried a port scan but it only tells me what is being uses and not what is using them.
Pull up a command prompt window.
then run the command "netstat -a -b"
This shows all IP connections and ports open in a listening mode also the associated executable holding the ports open.
