Wireless Receiver

Giday All;
  Looking for some help with my OmniPro 2 system.  I bought a wireless receiver a while ago, but have not been able to program a transmitters into it.  After getting too frustrated I set it aside for a while.
 Now its time to find out what I'm doing wrong!!  I've got a 42A00 GE Interlogix wireless transceiver, I've set it up as A4 since I have 3 other expansion boards in my system and n4 for "groups".  All of which I believe is fine.
   When I go to add a wireless transmitter (driveway sensor, 2 wireless key FOB's) the receiver does not "learn" the new transmitters.
Here is what I'm doing to try and program the transmitters in:
1) hold mode button for 2 seconds until "A4" appears.
2) press mode button until "1" is displayed. "1" does not have "." on either side which means no transmitter is programed in.
3)Then Activate a transmitter (tilt the driveway sensor, I can hear the "clicking" or press a button on the Key FOB)
  Then I should see a "." on either side of the "1" which means it learned the new transmitter, but I don't!!!!  What am I doing wrong????
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Are the driveway sensors and key fobs the HAI devices (63A00 & 48A001)?
If they are you need the HAI wireless receiver (45A001), which is different than the GE receiver.

Seriously!
I bought everything on the same invoice, they spec'd out everything! And that's why I've been cursing this receiver, cause they sold me the wrong unit!!
I guess I will have to give them a call!!
