I'm going to attend CES in Las Vegas later this week and would like to know what vendors/technologies Cocooners would visit if they were able to attend (yes, the Boss already gave me his list ).

Listed below are the exhibits I'm going to try to visit. If you have a particular interest, let me know the vendor and booth number and I'll try to stop by while I'm there. You will have a better chance if the booth is in the "South Hall" of the Las Vegas Convention Center as that's probably where I'll be spending most of my time.

I'm also going to try to have "private" meetings with Red Rad I/O and mControl as they will be attending CES but are not exhibiting.

Again, no promises as I find I acheive burn out at a faster rate each year I attend this conference (and the more I age)!

Elk will be displaying their touchpad at the Smarthome booth and I plan that as my first stop tomorrow!

Do you have a location and booth number for RCS/JDS?

I know that wireless is all the rage and the latest cat's meow, but I'm still more interested in WIRED technologies. I'm sorry, IMO the RF and IR environments are still too unreliable for the kinds of HA and security stuff I want to do. So, if you get a bead on any new or interesting WIRED systems or related items, please report on those, too?

Logitech - For their Z-wave remote
Monster Cable - For any Z-wave porducts. Not sure if they will be on display though
ZWave Alliance - I am sure this should kill a few manufactures who are piggy backing

If you could add Freescale to the list, that would be great:

Freescale has some ZigBee stuff.

I talked to Chirs walker via email and he said make sure you stop by the z-wave pavilion over by the monster exhibit and say hi to him. He said he will be hanging out at all the places I mentioned before and Sirius (The satalite radio company)

Will do. Electron has my cell phone/text message numbers/address so he has access to a "live" reporter on the CES floor!
