Outdoor motion detector compatible Omni Pro II

Hi, 
Have an Omni Pro II with wired indoor motion sensors and ALC lights ( no wireless sensors).
Just installed a Hikvision IP camera/POE NVR system and happy with it except the motions sensors react to everything including moths flying in front of the camera at night. So can't use as planned, to reliably just turn the lights on when some is walking down the side walk. 
Suggestions on outdoor wired motion sensors I can use to trigger lights to turn on, (via Omni Pro II), that are fairly reliable in responding to just people  
Also to what distance do these outdoor sensors work?

I used an Optex LX402 and am happy with it.
