Not with WC8. Early hardware version boards had RS232 connections, but code never supported it. Later revision boards removed the hardware too.
WC32 has RS232 passthrough to TCP, it may have some ability to communicate from PLC code to RS232 but I'm not sure.
I don't quite see how reading anything from RS232 would make any sense in the PLC code though.
