Haiku Has Space development cease? No Space Helper anytime soon?

It's been over 5 months since the last update to Space. The developer claims they are updating the UI, does it really take that long? When can we expect the next update?

When will Space Helper be released?

Its too bad they dont release teaser shots along the way and get actual USERS opinions before spending a year designing a UI and then realize the actual USERS hate it. There was a thread over a year ago asking for suggestions, many people posted pics of beautiful, functional UI's and none of those were used. Repeated efforts asking the dev to post samples of the UI along the way was answered with silence. Then that horrific, completely useless UI was announced at its completion stage ane everyone was like.... uhh, we waiting this long for a UI that was no where near as nice or functiona as the older one? And after months of trashing and the dev defending it, they finally agreed to modify it. And now, once again they are taking their time doing a new UI, which is great because they want to do a good job, but once again are ignoring users requests to post screenshots along the way. I guess USER input isnt as important as WE think it is. Lets hope the new UI isnt as bad as the previous, but dont get your hopes up. When a dev deems it unnecesary to get real users opinions on the most important part of an app, the UI, its disaster just waiting to happen. Thats my take on that!

Yes it really is disappointing.  The developer must be very busy as they don't even have time to post replies to the forum.  At this point all we can do is wait or find alternative solution.

Lupinglade - Don't give up on Space. I like the idea behind it, but I appreciate the functionality of Haiku more. I'm looking forward to the redesigned user interface of Space. Do you have an estimated date this will be available?

If Space only looked and worked like Haiku, and if Space Helper worked like Haiku Helper most people will be happy, well, except the people that paid for Haiku or Haiku Helper.

I still use Haiku over Space. The last update for Haiku was great in that it supports the iPhone 6 larger screens. I've grown used to the lighter interface now. Although if the new Space UI is fixed it would be an improvement for wall mounted touchscreens.

Count me in, on the list of grateful (but often silent) users of Haiku, HH, and Space who find great utility in an app that can offer virtual room views, consolidated cameras and control/monitoring at a fraction of the price of other products. Any upgrades/enhancements are definitely welcomed, however should not be an expectation for a product that doesn't have a licensing model.
Bashing the developers runs the risk of a major pull-out. Anyone want that?
