Returned from the dead.

Hi,
I was very active in the late 1990s with home automation at Microsoft (Strategic Prototyping) where I was the dev lead on a successful effort to build the second Microsoft Home. Look up Microsoft home of the future on YouTube to see what it is about -- It has been though several iterations since I left in 2001 but you can get the idea.  :)

The reason I am interested in Premise is that I worked in a startup company that built UI software and  integrated with very high end homes using Premise as a base.

Been messing with boats for the last few years and now it is time to get back into this as a hobby.

Is there any open source efforts to update and maintain Premise?

Thanks!

I have tried to track the ownership of Premise, but hit dead ends.  It was never released as Open Source.  Just released for free.

I would love to see it open sourced.  I think the software still holds up fairly well.  Although it's starting to show it's age.  But I am still using it.

There are a few in the Premise forum that are still writing drivers and such.

You didn't happen to work on that home that won the EH award with the Angela Jolie looking avatar, did you?  I saw the demo of that and it was seriously impressive.  Especially considering how long ago that was.

The "Microsoft Home" home won awards. Bill Gates presented it at CES in 2000. I was to busy working insane hours to notice.
