Help identifying a stepper motor

I am trying to find a replacement for a motor in a swimming pool cleaner robot part# 55BYC406L-001. I found the part at the manufacturer's website in China and translated it to English but they will only sell a minimum 1000 pieces. It is a gearmotor with 1:25 reduction but my gearbox is fine and I would be happy to get the electric motor alone if I can't find the motor/gearbox assembly.

Now I am trying to identify a suitable replacement but I don't know enough about stepper motors to be confident choosing one. It is a 55mm 24vac deceleration stepper motor. The torque specs and some other stuff is in the following link.:

and this:
Brands XINTE / new special model 55BYC406L
rated power 3 (W)
product type Deceleration stepper motor
Rated voltage 24 (V)
Current Rating 0.4 (A)
Rated torque 450 (NM)
Dimensions 55 (mm)

For anyone who is interested....

I worked with tech support at Kaman Corp and they tell me that they can not find a good xref for this motor. I also contacted a manufacturer in China and they tell me that it is common to make custom motors for large customers like Aquaproducts.

The bottom line is that it is a common DC stepper motor but it is 24vdc, 8 ohm coils and and 15 degree step attached to a 25:1 gearbox reduction. It is just not something that I can buy off the shelf and I'm ready to throw in the towel  on this one.

Plan B is to watch Ebay for parts machines.

They might be able to rebuild what you have or steer you.

Unfortunately this is a welded tin can motor and I tore the back bearing plate off of it to see what was inside so I don't think that it can be rebuilt. I found that the rotor bushings were burnt out.

mikefamig- Did you find anything? I find myself in the same boat. I would rather replace the motor than pay $350 for a new drive unit.

Thanks

Thanks for the link. It's been so long since I took that Aquabot apart that I don;t know if can wire a new one correctly anymore. I think that I took a photo of the wires before I removed the old motor but it'll be hard to find. I did store the parts in a bucket and will take a look at it later today.

mikefamig, I have the same issue finding this exact same stepper motor.  55BYC406L-001  .3A  8 ohm 15 degree,  I have pictures of it if you need the wire colors.  Let me know if you find something that works and I'll do the the same.  I just starting looking today and very resourceful looking for parts on line.  Thanks!
