Hi, where to start?

We are just starting construction on a new home - I am not highly technical and probably have similar questions that have been asked here many times.  Is there a guide or place here where I can read up on wiring-101?  If so, I'm hoping it would answer most/all of my questions.

A good place to start reading is the Wiring Your New House tutorial in the downloads section.  There's a notation that the file has been reported as broken, but I had no trouble downloading it and unzipping the files.

It'll give you lots to think about.  Most likely, you'll still have questions, and there are lots of folks here who will be happy to answer and give advice.

Look at the how-to's in the portal, such as "How to Install a Home Security System"
