Error while checking for updates M1

I keep getting an error when I run ElkRP or check for updates.  It says "Elkrp encountered an error while attempting to download the list of available updates.  Please verify your internet connection is working and you can access the website at www.elkproducts.com.  The error returned was: The underlying connection was closed:An unexpected error occurred on a send."
 
Any Idea about this?
