    Low Battery Warning Setting

It will be a 260Ah 12V LiFePO3 connected to a Victron Multiplus. I will probably use something like this to power the M1G:   https://www.xppower.com/portals/0/pdfs/SF_DDC40.pdf   The 15V version works down to 10V and can be trimmed up to 16.5V. Overkill, but I like that it comes with an...

    Low Battery Warning Setting

Thanks for that! I downloaded the latest manual looking for something, but obviously that was not the right place. It's a shame the voltage requirement is so high, but I might look for a DC-DC power supply that I can run from a LiFePO3 power source.

Did anything become of that request?

    M1XEP back-up reporting

I defined two IP connections (central stations) in an M1G / M1XEP. The second one is configured as a backup. When the M1G powers up, I can see it performing a handshake with both central stations. These are routed using policy routing through different Internet gateways.   So far, so good. I see...

    Sur-Gard UDP data format

Ooh, thanks!   The encryption is optional and Alarm Relay is not using encryption. It looks like DSC's test site does not use it either. Thank you for the pointer, I had not seen that before! This will make it easy to man-in-the-middle and see what is going on without impacting my primary...

    Sur-Gard UDP data format

I'm not putting my own code in the middle. I agree that would not be advisable. You can define multiple central stations to report to and define which events get reported to each. You can also define backups.   The $10 bounty is for anyone who can show me where this code is. Someone earlier on...

    Sur-Gard UDP data format

$$ CASH BOUNTY $$   Nextalarm would let me send them open/close events and let me set up email triggers on those (or even the absence of them). The M1 can do that stuff with rules, but it mostly sucks due to the way email works with the rules. So I want to do it from Linux using a scripting...

    M1XEP MAC Address changed

Mine changed to 00:40:9D:43:35:97 tonight after I power cycled it immediately after it powered up... It came up on 192.168.3.x, and took a while to get back onto the correct subnet, but it works fine now. Nice to know there's nothing to worry about.

    Sur-Gard UDP data format

Gonna be hard to hook up a card to a cloud server.

    Sur-Gard UDP data format

Anyone have any details on the DSC Sur-Gard IP data format supported by the ELK M1XEP?   I found the SIA DC-09 specs, but after dumping UDP events from my M1, it's clearly not using the SIA format.   I want to write a receiver to handle events that Alarm Relay doesn't want to receive. I don't...
