Have a friend of mine that I helped hookup a M1Gold for, and now he's beyond my experience. He's trying to hookup a uplink 2500 through a serial expander and is running into some trouble. Below is the message he sent me, any ideas are appreciated.
I have a Elk M1 Gold panel and I'm trying to...
I have several vivotek and other brand cameras, I ended up buying a nettop pc for $250 that had a hdmi out on it, I just run the video software on it and if I want to see it on the tv I just select that hdmi input. Works great not to mention if you wanted to run anything else on it for tv...
Yes this is what I have done and it reacts the same way. Did you put a resistor on it or is it just N/C unsupervised? I see no change in the panel side when clapping and the light turns red.

I am having problems installing a new GE Glassbreak 5812-RND. I have it wired and upon powering on but no matter whether I add the resistor and put it as supervised or remove it and configure it as open it will not detect any change. Has anyone had any luck with these detectors and a M1...
I have had problems with this as well. And I can tell you it does indeed do some strange things. I have been using the apc ethernet modules on my databus with no problems, however they didn't stop the last lightening strike either. It does seem to like lv a lot at least for me.
Thanks,
Andy
I'm in the same boat as you, but everyone that I've talked to has really recommended the Ditek devices. I've got a couple of them on order and can let you know how they are once I get them.
Andy
Thanks, I'm looking at the Ditek units now.
The problem with the APC units is they don't work. That's what I have in place now and yes they blow, but the surge still continues down the line at least initially. I've got several of these as well as their PNETR6 units in a chassis but they keep...
I'm looking for something to keep the surge from running in from outdoor cameras back into my switches. I've been using APC PNET5r units and they blow but the surge continues and usually shorts the switch out. I'm looking for any other suggestions that would help me cut down on some of the...
Anyone have a recommendation on a good wall mount Digital Picture Frame? I have a recessed power/network box on the wall where we had one but it no longer works and I'm having a difficult time finding a good replacement.
I currently have a Z-Wave network setup using the RZC0P interface to the Elk. I don't have much invested in the modules yet and the ones I do have are very slow to respond. Almost to the point of thinking they aren't going to come on. I also had a Z-Wave thermostat but had so many problems...
I am using them. They are very good cameras. I've only had a problem with these cameras in one location, we had mounted one under a deck and it got water in the underside of the camera. The mount they sent has to either be fully recessed or has to be sealed very well. But otherwise these...
Yeah the wife would kill me if I bought those speakers. Looking to stay in the 2k range. I had thought about looking at the proficient as that's what I have outside and they have been good speakers.
