Just a thought...
A lot of "electronic" doorbells (non mechanical... plays a melody/chime through a speaker) use a diode across the pushbutton..
This lets the chime have current to finish the chimes.. (westminster etc...) after the button is released.
If it was a diode instead of a resistor...

While i agree that the "Numbers" are open to interpretation because of your point..
We do need to be careful with semantics here...
I consider myself Christian and i am very firm in my faith and belief.... this is for many reasons that i won't expound on here...
For $10 / month it might be worth it if it was a summer home.. or other remote location that you can't walk out and read..

Try a motion detector and an outside speaker.
On Motion after you have gone to bed.. say:
"Smile... you're on candid camera".
I think that would work for most pranksters even without an actual camera.

I haven't received my accespoints yet.. (ordered 3)..
I currently have two signallincs and have some areas of the house where i just have poor reliablity (comms around 70%).. and i've had problems placing my signalincs (i.e... if i put a signalinc in location "A".. the coms on switch "1"...

Does that one-liner change it for all speach from that point on.. or just for that hs.speak command? ... (i.e. .. do you have to change it back if you want the next hs.speak to use the default?)
