    HAI and Home Assistant

I probably shouldn't open this can of worms but what's the advantage of using Home Assistant? I keep seeing it throughout these forums. I poked around its website but not clear on what it is/does vs what I can already do in PC Access in regard to automations, etc. Thanks!

    Omni LTe and Omnistat Help

How can I be sure Output 8 and Zone 16 are doing what they should be doing?

HAI/Leviton Omni LTe - Connection Help

Well, now it's working. I Googled my IP again, noticed it was a different number than a few hours ago, and typed that number in the Snaplink app as well as in PC Access under Options>Network and everything worked. I did nothing different than earlier today. So annoying. I really wish I knew...

HAI/Leviton Omni LTe - Connection Help

After a power outage, it seems my IP address has changed (I guess this is normal?) and now I can't connect to the Omni. This happened a few weeks ago so I Googled my IP, typed it in the Snaplink app and I was able to connect while offsite. Now, I can't get it to connect at all and I'm thinking...

    Omni LTe and Omnistat Help

That's just it, the word Area doesn't exist under Setup. I see it under Status/Control when I connect. And there's only 1. I see Area 1 on the mobile app. It'd be great to be able to rename that but I'd rather get tstats connected first.

    Omni LTe and Omnistat Help

I just stumbled upon something in Help>Contents>PC Access>Setup>Thermostats>Areas. What the heck are Areas? Does the LTe have more than 1? If so, wonder if these stats got moved to another one? I have no where to edit 'Areas' so I'm baffled by this too.

I did all of the above and there's no change. I'm stumped.

    Omni LTe and Omnistat Help

They're wired as suggested in the manual on page 19; Omni Zone 16+ to tstat Comm Yellow Omni Ground (between Outputs 7 & 8) to tstat Comm Black Omni Output 8 to tstat Comm Green This is how they were initially wired when they were communicating with the Omni. Then one day, they stopped...

    Nextalarm going bye bye

Interesting. I think this is what was done. I wish I could remember this initial setup. I had no idea what the hell my buddy was doing and he's so bad at explaining/translating this stuff. I have one UPB PIM. This is what I use to connect my PC to the dimmers when using UPStart, I think. So, to...

I'm sorry, you lost me with that final sentence (meant to mention in initial inquiry, you'll often have to dumb things down for me. Though I am somewhat tech savvy, a lot of this is over my head). I'm not clear on what it is I cannot do. I also don't know what OP2 is.

    Omni LTe and Omnistat Help

No, time does not match. I'm having to update time manually on each one. In PCA, I see both of them in the status screen, named as I've named them (see screenshot). When I change settings in PCA, the Snaplink and Pyro apps will update and vice versa so I know they're talking to each other...

A 'link' in UPStart is basically a scene, right (its been a very long time since I looked at UPStart so I could be way off)? Also, I thought UPB devices and Omni talk back and forth? If I use a dimmer manually, its status is updated in Omni (or so I thought).

Yes, I believe there are 4 total, right? Yes, currently, they're 1 and 2 but I have moved them around to 3 and 4.

    Omni LTe and Omnistat Help

Hello! Did they ever work for you? Yes! Worked great for a few years. I have a feeling lightning may be involved. Have you verified the Omnistat connections at the OmniLTe? Physically, yes, they appear to be connected as they initially were. In fact, I've even switched pairs on the Cat6 cable...

    Nextalarm going bye bye

Thank you for the kind welcome, @pete_c! Looking through this site, you seem to know your stuff. I imagine we'll be communicating more in the future. I'm a somewhat tech-savvy homeowner who was talked into an Omni LTE by a guy who has installed 100s of them but, 1. He's very bad at explaining...
