Solved- i switched from the 16v-10va transformer to a 24v- 20va transformer. Since the ELK930 looks for a 900ma draw, increasing the voltage decreased the current draw. Also, a side benefit is the doorbell ring is louder. Will continue to monitor but hoping is solved.

Just a followup - there have been no incidents of random beeps since I implemented all the suggestions from ELK engineering.  Not sure which of the 3 changes did the trick, but I consider it solved.  A thank you to  engineering at ELK.

Engineering has me trying a few thingsto see if eliminates the issue. Downgraded the firmware a version, disabled the temperature sensor so the display doesn't refresh and erase possible messages, disable a few CO related rules. Will run like this for a period of time to see if it worked. Went...

delinstallations - I will check on reporting is going to the central stations mike - it is beeping continuously, but in the rush to turn off the beep both myself and wife have put in the code before reading the panel display.  So I'm not sure what is on the LCD.  But, the log has no entry at all...
