I have a new one that has the ability to shutoff at night, it's really nice. One thing to look out for, on mine at least, it gives instructions about what positions the hands should be in when changing the chime melody or turning them on/off. It seems when the clock is in certain positions...

I only use a few UPB switches, but I had major problems with them. My power was so bad it was turning off my refrigerator. Turns out it was my well pump controller causing all the problems. You can see a thread about diagnosing and correcting the problem here. Brian

I love to cruise Craigslist looking for deals, the old machines are the best. I picked this monster sander up about two weeks ago for $125. When the guy asked me what project I needed it for I said "Project? I'm just trying to collect more tools than the other guy...." Brian

I did the bulk of mine about two years ago, using the yellow nylon stock. None are loose, on the contrary, the ones I've changed take a little work to get off. Brian

An alternative to glue and clamps is pocket holes using a Kreg jig. Before I picked up my fancy underpinning machine, this was my preferred method for making picture frames. You drill your holes, give them a little glue (optional with this method) and screw them together. Ready to use. Brian
