Actually this is my aim, LEARN and MASTER "a technology" , then perhaps start a business of dealership of the tech. But I don't want to be wasting time on a tech if i cant take it to the next level. Hi i'm trying to see if Z-wave frequency is legal in my country and what are the restrictions. I know the range (100m) but part of the specifications that would be considered is the wattage equivalent = transmission power (?)  . Im not too familiar w/ this.    regards

hi been researching and reading and learning re HA for the past few months.. and i thought I was OK w/ Z-wave and have actually started going w/ the standard.. but i've stumbled upon a few concerns.. they seem to be more expensive, and licensing frequencies may be an issue for my country...

I wanted to bring some zwave into the Philippines and play w/ it and perhaps do a little selling/teaching on it etc.. but i'm concerned about the legalities of it. if 2.4Ghz is a free frequency then i would probably have less to worry about w/ zigbee. then again, zigbee options are so limitted...
