Sorry, let me rephrase: if the old INSTEON Hub can be used with the ISY994i, why are so many people still trying to find a different solution? I mean, hacking the new Hub, etc...

Thanks for the info. I read some hints about this modification but never got to the bottom of it, hoping that an official EU version from Smartlabs would reach the market. Since this modification doesn't sound like an easy job I could do, Is there anybody able/willing to do this for a fee?   Thanks

I'd like to venture into HA using Insteon and an advanced controller for future expansion (I'm a hobbyist programmer). I was thinking about the ISY994i, but apparently it isn't an option for Europe. What other advanced controller would you suggest?   Thanks a lot Chris
