    VRCOP "reboot"

This could be my problem as well. My vrc0p is EXTREMELY flaky. Having a hard time getting it to work for more than a few days. I might just get one plug timer and tell it to cycle on/off every morning at 2am or something like that. Thanks for sharing. Now I have something to try.

    Garage door opener

I have a Chamberlain Liftmaster Professional and am interested in performing all of the functions that you mention. What are the specific relays that you have hooked up to be able to open/close the door, turn on the lights, and lock the transmitters? Where might one acquire said transmitters? I...

    VRC0P Serial Device Commands

Where did you get the Leviton Installer Software? I do not yet have any other ZWave devices, so I have not been able to test it.

    VRC0P Serial Device Commands

Hmmm...I have the VRC0P +3. I also have the ControlThink ThinkStick. I have tried everything you mentioned. In Dealer PC Access, I set the message name to be something like "Lock Front Door" and the message description to be " >N60SS98,1,0^M". In the ControlThink software, I can add all the...

    VRC0P Serial Device Commands

SJHart, Can you respond to this thread with the exact steps that you took to get the Kwikset locks to work? I have tried setting the serial port to ProLink, sending the zwave command (e.g. >N6SS98,1,255^M), but this does not work. I have also tried with the serial port set as ZWave, similarly...

    Sliding Glass Door Electric Lock

These are all excellent considerations and I appreciate the discussion. I do not know what my door will be made of, but I am sure it will be either metal or vinyl, which may rule out my idea of an electromagnetic lock. The alternative is an electric deadbolt up above the door. But it sounds like...

    Sliding Glass Door Electric Lock

Looking for a way to automatically lock my sliding glass doors from my HAI OmniPro II. Z-wave or 12V, doesn't matter. My house is not yet built, so I can run any wire and install any locking mechanism that I need to. Anyone have any suggestions/ideas? Thanks, Evan

    Automatic door locks

That is an interesting idea to use strikes. With deadbolts, I would want fail safe, so you could exit in the case of fire and power outage. However, I would think that you would need an egress button in case of fire and the power had not gone out.

    Automatic door locks

Thanks for the replies. I am looking at the seco-larm sd-997bq, an electric deadbolt controllable from the hai. This is the failsafe version. However, in the event that there is a fire and the power does not go out, should I have an egress button by every door? I am not sure I will be able...

    Automatic door locks

I have been reading ct for a couple of months now in preparation for building a home that just recently had the foundation poured. Thanks to everyone for the answers to many questions! My question is regarding electric door locks. I would like to control the locks (lock, unlock, codes, etc.)...

    Wiring Andersen 400 Woodright Windows

Would someone mind commenting on whether the wide gap sensors will work? Has anyone tried this before? I would really like to put the sensor on the windows without voiding the warranty on my windows by having to drill through them. This seems like it would be a very logical thing to do. Has...
