I appreciate your input and have followed many of your posts in the past. I also have not found much difference in cost between the GE & Honeywell from my limited research. I am just starting to try and decide the best sensors to use and would be interested in your opinion on what sensors...
ano,
Interesting you suggest GE wireless. I was leaning towards Honeywell but I think they are pretty much equal but I would still like to here some pros and cons on both. I am most interested in price and availability plus battery life and range. No matter I am pretty convinced that that...
A few years back I installed a full M1 system with Insteon & Issy. I had it all working well with most of the bugs worked out but a year and a half ago we move to a temporary rental property till we were sure were we would be staying. I removed all my old gear and now am purchasing a New home...
I purchased one,
The build quality is OK.
Its basically a big plastic box that hangs inside the toilet water bowl that holds 4 d batteries. The unit has a remote eye in a fake (real looking) chrome replacement handle that is triggered by seeing you sit on the thrown. It must see you for a min...

First I would like to thank you for coming here and offering your assistance.
I am a current user of Insteon and to be honest do not currently believe I have any of the issues talked about in this thread yet. I like most Cocooners here hold a lot of value in what I read here and present...

There is a new M1-XSP Firmware update Version 50.1.4 for Insteon Posted over on the Elk Dealer download site. It fixes the timer issues I had. It is a different version than they sent me as a Beta, I wonder if it has anything in it mine doesn't. Maybe Spanky will chime in. I will probably update...
Good news,
I have been in contact with ELK support and they verified my issues with not being able to execute rules that act ass timed events such as "Whenever X device is on" ,"Then turn Y device on for x number of seconds".
I received a beta firmware update for my M1-xsp from Don Lamb today...
Couldn't you just set zone 7 To force armed so it will automatically bypass if left open and set a rule to bypass the motion (zone 10 ) whenever 7 is bypassed. Then call your cellphone Whenever zone 7 and 10 are in bypass mode and the alarm is armed ?
I installed the new 50.1.2 MI-xsp firmware for Insteon PLM support and have run into a couple of Possible bugs.
First I have always used the Elkinstien or Powerhome device loader app to load Insteon addresses into the m1sxp.
I discovered that the only way to do this is to leave the jumper #7 in...
I do not think so because mine is about 6 mos. old and works fine. When I talked to Don at ELK he did not mention that it required any special version. I am not even sure how to tell the firmware version on my plm ?
