Thanks to all. Finally got home and was able to enroll the new driveway sensor into the system. The STI brand looks identical to the HAI/Leviton model of sensor. Right down to the instructions.
Anyway, it works fine and saves about 250 dollars by buying the STI.
I really want to...
Thanks to all. If I buy the el cheap which is the same megahertz, won’t it work with the HAI receiver. For the cost I will try it and let everyone know.

I have a HAI Omni Pro II and a driveway sensor which triggers the voice module. A contractor working at the house knocked it off the mount and threw it out. Long story. Does anyone know what my options are to replace it? I can’t find one for sale.
Thanks
Ted
The wireless receivers are like zone expanders. They will report on what zone was violated. Your hard wired zones will report independently of the wireles zones. One can also identify the zone at the keypad. I hope this was the question you were asking. Don't try to put more than one...
This is a very involved subject. Here's some wiring info.
Start by figuring where your equipment is going to be placed. This is the main hub area, head end, structured wiring service center or what ever you want to call it. Bring in your wires for service from outside. A minimum of two...
Sorry I didnt offer a solution and went off on my rant first:
You can find automated small door closers. All you would have to do is wire one up to a box to house the camera. I use a relativly small on chicken coop. My HAI tells the door to close at 1/2 hour after suunset and open again...
You may have some other issues besides your renters depending what State the residence is in as well as constitutional issues. If I were you, I would limit all my cameras to outside the home. You may then be able to use them as an amenity to your rentals.
Without going into a lot of legal bs...
I was a Panasonic dealer and had just about every PBX in my home over the years. Always a cordless reception nightmare for me. I sold the suckers and it was hard enough remembering how the cordless handsets worked for me. My clients hated them.
Anyway, like you, we finally cut the cord and...
If you really want to make closet or storage space easy to turn on and off, I like to use and alarm contact to trigger the light or a relay to turn on the light in that particular storage area. Open the door, light comes on. Close the door, light goes off. May not be possible with your set up...
Have you looked at Lutron RA2? I have found that system to be the only one that has worked flawlessly for me. It interfaces nicely with the Omni too.
As far as Z Wave goes, and here comes a rash of replies, I would never use it because of security concerns. It was thrust upon our industry...
Whatever you decide on, I would run control wiring to all the switches and all outlets. Category wire is cheap. Don't forget to test and label the wire for future use
