    Fluorescent Relay Switches/ Which one?

Martin is correct in that I am talking about the Switchlinc's. Personaly [but remember I am a newbie] I would consider nothing but 2-way switches. Two-way switches may come at an additional expense of adding equipment to deal with the higher signal absorbation rate, but for a reialable system...

    Fluorescent Relay Switches/ Which one?

Thanks you two for the quick replies. I knew math would be involed, I just wasn't sure what formula was used. On one switch I have [5] 18w compact flourescent and a small string of low-voltare lights, so I should be ok with the smaller cheaper switch. switch. The other circuit has an small...

    Fluorescent Relay Switches/ Which one?

Do I need a 5 amp or 15 amp switch? Now I know this is decieded by my devices and their loads but I am curious as to how the ratings work. Do so many watts = one amp? If this is the case, how do you rate fluoecent bulbs? Would you take their wattage equilent and add that up? What about small...

    TM751 or RR501 Transceiver

I was wondering why the RR501 is listed as 2-way while the TM751 isn't. I believe the 2-way refers to the appliiance module on the RR501. Yes for now this is what I am doing. But it seems [according to BSR post I would need the transciiever, if I want remotes to work.] Eventualy I will go...

    TM751 or RR501 Transceiver

Just curious, Is the only real difference between these two is that the appilance mod. on the RR501 2-way? Or do I need the 2-way transciever[RR501] for proper polling by HS. I guess I will find out sometime this week, I am replacing my firecracker interface with the Smarthome USB interface...

    What switch? Ceiling Fan/Light Combo

I may not have said it, but yea I meant it. This is how my fan light works: The fan always has power reguardless of the light switch postion, pull the chain and you cycle from off, low, medium, high, to off again. The switch controls the light, but the power from the fan also comes thru the...

Quick question, maybe I can get answer before tonight. Do I need to install anything to be able to get into the chat? I have had no luck so far hitting the chat link. All I get is a blank white window with a little x in the left hand corner. Maybe the chat link only works at a certain time and...

    What switch? Ceiling Fan/Light Combo

Thanks, BSR & Martin for your responces. Just a few quick questions to be sure: Unless there is something special about this switch, as BSR asks, will this switch work? This fan is fan/light combo. So this switch would mainly control the lights. Just double checking so you know what this...

    What switch? Ceiling Fan/Light Combo

Many of my rooms have a ceiling fan/light combo. What if any type of switch is appriocate? I don't believe I can use a dimmer, but what about the switches for florecesent lights, will that work? I think I read somewhere that a fan/light should not be used together, possible hum and other...

Jumper & Dip Switch Settings on CR234 Coupler/Repe

Squintz: Me too a newbe too; buy yes the CR234 is a coupler/repeator. Coupler/Repeators are used to increase HA systems reliablity. I am using all 2-way devices so I am trying to build a nice stable system. Some other options are the Lightolier Firewall and Smarthome's plug-in coupler if you...
