Sorry the site is being transitioned... Here is a link to request a developer login:   https://www.homeauto.com/Support/Developers/DeveloperApplication.asp

    PC Access CD dead

A couple of things to know: 1. If you are a registered user you can always send an e-mail to tech support. Be sure to include your name, company name and serial number and request them to resend your registration information. They will send an email to the registered e-mail address that include...

    "When Camera x" trigger.

Just a comment on using "video" motion detect outdoors: IMHO don't do it. The problems I have encountered are false positives. In doors video motion detect works great but outdoors things like, trees swaying in the wind, shadows of trees swaying in the wind, dogs, cats, birds, bugs, clouds...

    HAI PC Access

I realize I work for HAI and this may seem self serving, but if you are a DIYer get the dealer version and save yourself a lot of headaches. The user version fine for a system that was set up by a dealer and you just want to tinker/tweak a bit, but if you are doing everything yourself... Like...

    OPiie and automating zwave thermostats

Sorry for not getting back sooner. With vacations and business trips I have been having trouble getting time with the people I needed to work with on this issue. Fortunately they took the initiative found and fixed the bug. We should have a firmware release shortly. This fix was simple but we...

HAI Omni II "When Camera" trigger

The "WHEN CAMERA..." event refers to when a camera input (1-6) is pressed on an OmniTouch with Video. This should be documented in your controller's user manual.

    "When Camera x" trigger.

The "WHEN CAMERA..." event refers to when a camera input (1-6) is pressed on an OmniTouch with Video. This should be documented in your controller's user manual. With IP cameras the best way is to wire a security contact on the camera to a zone. There are cameras out there that have security...

    OPiie and automating zwave thermostats

This is great news. The guy I need to talk to won't be back until Monday, but I might have a fix. In the interim try staggering the commands like I suggested, but set the cool setpoints at 5:00 and the heat setpoints at 5:01. Thanks.

    OPiie and automating zwave thermostats

I may have something for you. For testing purposes I don't think the trigger is significant so here is what I would like you to do: 1. Name a button TSTAT_TEST 2. Create an automation block:   WHEN TSTAT_TEST THEN Up COOL SETPOINT 80 THEN Down COOL SETPOINT 78   3. Write everything to...

    OPiie and automating zwave thermostats

The fact that it only happens when you send multiple commands in rapid succession is an important clue. I bet if you reversed the order of the automation blocks both stats would get the upstairs settings. Perhaps it is some sort of buffer overrun? Since this is a timed event, a quick and dirty...

    OPiie and automating zwave thermostats

Just clarify: Assuming both stats are set to something normal like 73 to 75. If you set the downstairs stat to 80 from PC Access the down stairsstat is set to 80 and the upstairs stat is still at its previous value. If you then set the upstaris stat to 78, then both stats would go to 78? If...

Can a Microsoft Surface Pro run HAI PC Access?

Just for you (not really) we went out and bought a Surface Pro. Nice device but not sure it is worth the price, and I wish it ran something other than Windows 8... Anyhow I installed all of our PC software on the device and tested it. Everything works fine with the exception of the Music...

    OPiie and automating zwave thermostats

It sounds like you have everything set up correctly, so I am not sure what is going wrong either. If you can set the cool setpoint to 80 from the console and it only changes the cool setpoint on the intended thermostat, then an automation command that sets the cool setpoint to 80 should work...

    OPiie and automating zwave thermostats

A couple of things to check: 1. Verify the node IDs and that the configuration in PC Access has been written to the controller. 2. Next try to change the setpoint of one thermostat from the console, touch screen or PC Access. If this works then the controller can control the thermostats and...
