How do you communicate with HAI's engineers to discuss issues like this? It seems to me we could all benefit from a way of bringing installers/developers/manufacturers together to solve some of these problems.
Thanks for the response.
From an installer/dealer standpoint, a strong commitment to standardized security protocols is absolutely imperative. Your software is good software, and I know there are a lot of DIYers out there who love it.
But if I'm selling it as part of a system, I need a hell...
I'm curious about the security that underlies the web interface since it doesn't seem to require a user code to arm/disarm the system.
Assuming I'm using a secure password, what sort of security is the web interface based on, and does Nullriver specifically recommend against having a publicly...
I'm not sure if this is the right place to put a feature request, but I don't think Haiku/HaikuHelper give us enough control over individualization of push notifications.
For instance, I want notifications for all events to be sent to my iPhone. But I don't want two dozen notifications every...
It's not a make-or-break feature, but I'm still not clear why an "unlock" command from the Haiku app, wouldn't be treated in the exact same manner as an "unlock" command activated by presenting an authorized key card at the door's card reader.
Also, I need to double check to confirm this, but...
I have an Omni Pro II with HAI access control and magnetic lock. Keycards presented at the exterior card reader unlock the door for 3 seconds, and a request to exit button on the interior also releases it for 3 seconds.
If I use the unlock button under access control in the Haiku app, it asks...
Alezis, I'm curious what made you switch to Android?
Haiku offers a great (and reliable) user experience on iOS, in large part because of iOS (and the APIs that Apple provides, such as push notifications).
I wonder if the app sales volume for an Android version of Haiku would generate...
Update: iOS update and Mac Store update became available to me yesterday, literally the day I delivered this particular customer's system.
Your agility is impressive, thanks for the quick turnaround on that fix. I'm looking forward to learning how to really put this Pro II through it's paces...
Thank you for the response, that's all I was looking for.
Now I can tell my customer that while yes, this is currently a (minor) issue, we (you as the supplier and me as the vendor) are aware of it, and it's being addressed in a future update.
I'm trying to be patient and understanding that this is a niche product that doesn't have a massive set of resources behind it to identify and resolve issues—but the lack of documentation and support is extremely frustrating.
I would be more than happy to sell both these pieces of software as...
No I left it blank since the instructions indicate that's what I should do for my installation (this isn't a mounted installation).
If I do tap on it, in the "Pick an Area" screen it says "no matching objects could be found. Ensure you've connected to this controller previously."
I couldn't find the edit button, but I wanted to add that Haiku has no problem retrieving the Code Names for alarm functions (like when a user arms or disarms the system).
Haiku's event log seems to be retrieving incorrect data (both for the app and the web interface):
Instead of retrieving the assigned Code Name, it's retrieving the Code Number instead. Same for Access Control Card Reader Number rather than what I want, the Card Reader Name.
Example: "[event...
